We had some very very ripe bananas. 😅 So, I decided to bake banana bread in my bread maker.
I forgot to include the bananas in this picture. 😅
I told my #2 it should be banana cake because it is batter not dough. 😂
Verdict: The whole family loves it! 🤗💖🥰
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk - lukewarm
- 114g butter - soften in microwave
- 2 large eggs - beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 3 medium ripe bananas - mashed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 280g AP flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 170g sugar
Method
- If you have time, you can sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda together. The texture will be lighter.
- Put into the bread pan all the ingredients in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
- For me, I put in the liquids followed by the dry stuff .... in the order of my ingredient list
- Settings- - Quick, Light, 2lb
- During the initial mix, sometimes the dry stuff clumps at the corners. Use rubber spatula to push in the stuff to prevent clumping.
- When done, remove bread pan from machine.
- Check for if cooked using a stick. If not cooked yet, put back in the hot machine for another 10min.
- When done, DO NOT remove the bread from the bread pan. Let it rest in the bread pan for about 10 minutes.
- Gently remove from bread pan. Dont forget the paddle!
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing!
